HomeKey Detroit LLC (formation pending) explains how we collect and use your information.
You provide: name, email, phone, password (stored as encrypted hash), listing details, photos, applications, messages, ID documents (for verified landlord badge).
Auto-collected: IP address, browser type, session cookies needed to keep you logged in.
Between users: Landlords see renter info when a renter applies/messages. Landlord contact is revealed only after renter applies or messages.
With service providers: Server hosting and domain providers process data to run the Service.
Legal requests: When required by law.
We do NOT sell your personal information.
ID and ownership documents are stored privately, accessible only to HomeKey admins for verification. Deleted within reasonable time after verification unless legally required to retain.
HTTPS encryption, encrypted password hashes, restricted server access. No system is 100% secure. Keep your password confidential.
HomeKey is not for users under 18. If a child has provided info, contact us and we will delete it.
One essential cookie to keep you logged in. No ad trackers, no data sales.
